Summer Workshops Series

for children Age 7-12 Years old

Monday - Friday: 9AM - 2:30PM

Session 1: Aug 5 - 9

Session 2: Aug 26 - 30

Cost: $700 per week


During each week-long workshop our young art students will: 

  • Learn different hand building techniques: pinch, slab, coil, sculpting

  • Experiment with different tools, underglazes (paints) and molds

  • Complete two to four major art pieces: functional pottery and sculptures

Please bring a nut-free bag lunch and a filled water bottle

Please bring a small sketchbook

The UPTOWN CLAY Summer Workshops are designed for young artists that want to express their creativity and explore various techniques and styles in clay handbuilding and sculpting.

The day will begin with a demonstration that will show the different stages of clay life of each project so students can visualize what to expect as the clay dries into the next stage. Students will create their own version of the project or create their own project that utilizes the techniques. After each camp, the staff at the studio will fire the pieces and families will be emailed 2-3 weeks after to pick up the glazed pieces.
